Sarah's venture into holistic animal care grew from the loss of her beloved goldendoodle Ellie.
In 2009, Ellie (rescued from a county pound in central IA) was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer.
Ellie received excellent traditional care from wonderful local vets & oncologists at the U of M.
Sarah wanted to give Ellie the best possible quality of life for as long as possible. She learned about natural supplements & nutrition, started her Reiki training and gained exposure to Traditional Chinese Medicine.
When Ellie passed away, Sarah's sadness & grief were mixed with a sense of responsibility to continue learning & share the knowledge she had gained.
